Counseling

Our Program

counselingOur faith-based residential programs are designed to approach substance use disorders and mental health treatment holistically. By providing a safe home to those who are in need of substance abuse treatment and for those who are dually diagnosed, residents are able to focus completely on their recovery. All counseling services are provided through our Beaufort office. Our residences are designed for our patients to relax, rest, and reflect. All of our homes are located in Beaufort, voted “America’s Coolest Small Town” in 2014. Our residents enjoy the calm and tranquil setting as well as the natural beauty and wonders of the Crystal Coast. We do not provide treatment within our residences so that there is a clear separation between the therapeutic environment and “home”. While engaged in treatment, residents participate in daily group therapy, individual therapy, vocational rehabilitation, recreational therapy, clinical therapy, as well as spiritual and pastoral counseling. During their stay, residents are able to further reinforce their recovery through weekly worship services, daily bible studies, fitness and wellness groups, and much more. Although we never like to turn anyone away, our treatment philosophy is not based on the brief therapy model nor do we fully embrace the “disease model” of addiction. Therefore, we encourage our residents to take the time limits off of treatment and allow the process to bring them to a point of sustainable recovery.  Our full treatment program is completed in two phases. The initial intensive treatment phase is a six-month program, while the full program, which includes an additional six months of relapse prevention, takes the program to a full year for completion. Our person-centered approach to therapy allows us to customize our program based upon each client’s needs; therefore, we encourage you to call and speak to one of our therapist and allow us to develop a care plan that fits your specific needs and goals.
